Creative ways to volunteer for OFG

Did you know? There are other ways to earn volunteering hours while doing your everyday routine. Here are some creative ideas on how you incorporate Origami For Good into your daily life and still volunteer.

  1. Origami Date

If you are ever asked to spend time with someone—whether it be friends or a partner—you can encourage them to spend time creating origami alongside you. While creating origami, you can still participate in small talk, watch a movie, eat snacks, and much more. You can even make origami gifts for each other to keep. When you’re finished making origami, you and your teammate(s) can sign up on our page and send the origami out to people who would love to receive it.

2. Restaurant Night

Fun fact, most restaurants will say yes to donating a portion of profit to other nonprofits such as Origami For Good. Head to your favorite restaurants and inquire about a Restaurant fundraising night. If they say yes, invite your friends and family to come to raise money for Origami For Good while enjoying a delicious and tasty meal. You can contact us if you’d like to receive promotion tools such as social media posts, posters, and more along with our personal help with organizing the event.

3. Performance

This is perfect if you have a special talent or passion you want to perform or teach to others. Perform at a place that requires an entry fee and donate the proceeds from the event to Origami For Good. Examples but not limited to include: performing an instrument, sport, yoga class, dance, and much more. You can contact us if you’d like to receive promotion tools such as social media posts, posters, and more along with our personal help with organizing the event.

Please do not be afraid to reach out to us for assistance regarding your service. We are more than willing to help in any way possible.
